  • Not perfect, but beats a car payment! - 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Car runs good and you can usually get them cheap. If its a secod vehickle, its not bad. Mine has needed a water pump, air conditioner work, but this is simply maintenace on a 9 year truck. Impressive off road capability!

Ive always liked the look of the Gr Chero LTD. Very good turning radius. Just the right size for passengers and minor off road.

Bought the car off a year lease from dealership. Ran good for two years then constant mechanical problems thereafter.

Unless you are a mechanic and enjoy to get under the hood, do not buy. CV Boots, electrical, water pump, AC and front mirror all had to be replaces/fixed. Costing a bunch as well asthe headaches of taking it in and not knowing if the mechanic is screwing you over or not. I will never buy a jeep again. Like the other guy, Toyota is the next new car for me.

  • Best vehicle Ive ever owned! - 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I love my Jeep - its the best vehicle Ive ever owned. I am the third owner, bought it at 70,000 miles and have driven it over 45,000 miles without any major problems at all. I couldnt be more pleased. I was nervous reading some reviews that made them look like they just dropped dead at 100,000 miles. Well mine still runs smooth and strong. No engine, tranny or transfer case replacements ever needed. Could be because I and the previous owner ran full synthetics in it since around 50,000 miles.

With 116,000 miles its time to consider a new vehicle although it has more than served us well for 7 years. Just required regular maintenance and expected parts to need replacing after 100,000 miles. Hate to part with this friend.

  • Still Running - 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Had mine since 1994 when i got it new. I now have 187,000 miles and still running. may have 1 problem once a year .. pump, electrical, ect ... nothing big considering its been very good to me.

  • Great Vehicle - 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Just traded this Jeep in with 247,000 miles on it. It was a great vehicle to own and went it everywhere, off-road and on the interstate. Great in snow. I had the 4.0 L motor which I liked except the gas mileage wasnt anything to brag about. I liked this one so much I got a newer Grand Cherokee to replace it. I think Im hooked on Jeeps.

This is my fourth Jeep. I bought after my 1992 Cherokee Laredo finally gave up the ghost after 396,724 miles. Yes, Virginia, Jeeps DO last more than 30,000 miles. My wife has a 2001 60th Anniversary Edition Cherokee and loves it. Solid, rugged, fun to drive, reliable and popular - thats what has turned me and many of my friends into "Jeep-Heads". My next Jeep will be a Wrangler of some sort.

  • The Powerful Beast - 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I have owned my 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee for over a year now. It is my first vehicle and my mom also owns one (1998 though). It is very reliable and the only problems have been mostly from abuse of past owner. The CV shaft on the driver side was badly torn but other than that, no major problems. It handles well on-road, as well as off-road.
